BASELWORLD 2013
The World Fair for watches and jewelry takes place in Basel from the 25th of April until the 2nd of May 2013. Nowhere else, this industry comes together so completely in one place of this size - some producers only exhibit at the Baselworld. The newly built construction of the Basel Fair offers 95,000 square meters of exhibition space for the world's largest industry event for the watch and jewelry industry, which presents itself here in a special and exclusive frame.
At this year's Baselworld, 100,000 visitors from retail and wholesale are expected, where 1,800 exhibitors from the fields of watches, jewelry, gem stones and related industries are facing them. Since several decades now, the presentation of brands and new trends at a high level does not only reach the professional community. Numerous advertising and PR events impact far beyond the Basel World 2013, because about 3,300 accredited journalists, fashion editors and trend spotter ensure the international reporting and media coverage.
The Baselworld 2013 will meet the needs of exhibitors for adequate presentations by an unprecedented effort. Thus, this year´s global brands of the watch and jewelry industry will almost exclusively present their collections and trends in 2 and 3-story stands. The opening of the new building of the Basel Fair was an opportunity to hire renowned architects to design more creative stand-designs. Therefore, also this year the Baselworld is able to maintain its position as the leading show of the jewelry industry and as its main contact with the fashion industry.
